The educational kayak trail begins in Grzmięca on the shore of Lake Strażym. After paddling approx. 400 m across the lake we reach the peninsula „Okopy” with traces of an early medieval hillfort. Along the way we encounter aquatic vegetation and stands of protected white water-lilies.
The route then leads through a 2.5 km marshy river valley and passes the reserve „Bachotek”, established to protect great fen-sedge (Cladium mariscus). It is a breeding area for ducks, swans, coots and grebes – you can often see otters, foraging grey herons and hunting white-tailed eagles.
The route ends at the PTTK base in Bachotek. The total length is approx. 9 km.
